Why an untouched lawn gives an empty house away
An overgrown lawn is the clearest signal a house is sitting empty — insurance companies and police community programs both list it among the top tells for break-ins. Keeping the lawn cut, edges clean and the property visibly cared for while you travel isn't a luxury; it's the cheapest home-security measure there is.
There's a turf-health side too. Grass that jumps from 3 inches to 6 while you're away can't just be scalped back down — cutting more than a third of the blade at once shocks the lawn brown for weeks. Regular cuts on your normal schedule mean you come home to your lawn, not a recovery project.

How much notice do you need before a trip?
A few days is plenty during the season — we're already routing through your area weekly. For full-summer or multi-month coverage, a week or two of notice lets us lock your schedule in.
Can you water my plants and new sod too?
Yes — watering checks for planters, gardens and new sod or seed can be added to visits, following Guelph's outdoor watering schedule so you don't come home to a bylaw notice either.
Will you send me updates while I'm away?
If you'd like them — a quick text or photo after visits is no problem. Plenty of clients just prefer to land, look at the lawn, and see that everything's handled.
What if it rains or the grass barely grows?
Same policy as our regular clients: rain shifts your cut to the next dry day, and in slow-growth stretches we'll skip and tell you rather than bill for a cut the lawn didn't need.
Do you offer this year-round?
Through the growing season, April to November. Many vacation clients also keep us on for spring or fall cleanup so the property is handled shoulder-to-shoulder with their travel.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No contracts here either — book coverage for a single week away or the whole summer. When you're back, service simply stops or rolls into a regular schedule if you've gotten used to it.
