Light leaf cover can be mulched into the lawn and that's healthy. Heavy cover — most mature Guelph streets — is too much and will mat. We'll tell you which side your property falls on.
How short should the final fall cut be?
Slightly lower than summer height, around 2.5 inches — short enough to resist matting and snow mold, tall enough to protect the crown. It's the one time of year we cut below 3 inches.
